Fine & Performing Arts

At Wayland Union Schools, students are given many opportunities to express themselves creatively. Music and art programs are part of the elementary curriculum and start in Kindergarten. Sixth graders can choose between choir, band or orchestra for music. At the secondary level, students can further explore their talents through a variety of courses offered in art, theater, dance, choir, band and orchestra. We now have an after school/extra curricular option for those interested in stage crew. This allows our students who want to be in the theater but not perform an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the theater.

Our students consistently receive high ratings at festivals and solo & ensembles as well as opportunities to perform in concerts and competitions. Performances are held in the Wayland Union Fine Arts Center which opened in 2010.
