Three new members were inducted into the Wayland Union High School Alumni Hall of Fame on April 15, 2024. New Inductees included Joseph Kramer, Coralie Miller, and Robyn Robinson.

Joseph Kramer graduated from Wayland Union High School in 1976. While attending high school, he was a standout student leader, serving as Class President, being a member of National Honor Society, and receiving high honor roll. He was a multi-sport athlete, earning All-Conference honors in baseball, and a state-recognized speaker in Debate and Forensics. He also served as Minority Whip in the Close Up youth government program and achieved the rank of Life Scout in the Boy Scouts. Mr. Kramer earned a degree in Broadcast Communications and EMT certifications from Delta College and Grand Valley State University. His diverse career spanned journalism, television broadcasting, emergency dispatching, and service supervision, always rooted in public service. Mr. Kramer devoted more than 41 years to Wayland EMS, taught CPR to countless youth and adults, and has been deeply involved with the Boy Scouts for over 30 years—12 of them as Scoutmaster. He has served on the Wayland City Council for over 7 years, including 4 years as Mayor Pro-Tem. His impact on youth sports is vast, including roles as coach, referee administrator for AYSO, and high school soccer referee for over two decades. He also supported the arts as Band Booster President while his children were in school. His lifelong dedication to the Wayland community makes him a deserving member of the Alumni Hall of Fame.

Coralie Miller graduated from Wayland Union High School in 1986. While attending high school, she was a three-sport athlete in basketball, volleyball, and softball, earning numerous honors and two Multer awards. Academically, Coralie was on the Honor Roll all four years, a National Honor Society member, and received the Citizenship Award as a senior. After graduating high school, Mrs. Miller earned a teaching degree from Aquinas College. For the past 35 years, Mrs. Miller has been a dedicated coach, leading Wayland teams in basketball, volleyball, and softball, along with coaching stints in Rockford and Byron Center. Her leadership extends beyond coaching as a substitute teacher, MHSAA official, bus driver, and Youth for Understanding exchange program representative. Recognized for her impact, Coralie recently received the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Female Coach of the Year and the Coach O Award. She also serves as Media Ministry Director at St. Paul Lutheran Church. A proud parent of four, Mrs. Miller has shaped countless student-athletes and continues to be a pillar of the Wayland community.

Robyn Robinson graduated from Wayland Union High School in 1997.  As a student, she was actively involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, Michigan Youth in Government, and competed in both tennis and softball. Robyn graduated from Central Michigan University in 2002 and began her career in education as a special education teacher, spending 10 years in the classroom—8 of those at Wayland High School, where she also served as Student Council Advisor. She later earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a second Master’s in School Counseling from Grand Valley State University. For the past 13 years, Robyn has been a dedicated administrator at Wayland, serving in a variety of roles including Middle School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, Pine Street Assistant Principal, and CCA Coordinator. For the last 5 years, she has proudly led Pine Street Elementary as Principal. Robyn’s commitment to the Wayland community extends well beyond the school day. She coached youth soccer, baseball, and softball, and has volunteered her time for the 8th Grade Banquet, Grad Bash, Advisor for Wayland Union HS Michigan Youth In Government and has served on district bond committees. She’s been nominated multiple times as one of Wayland’s Outstanding People in Education. Through her leadership, passion, and lifelong commitment to the Wayland community, Mrs. Robyn Robinson represents the very best of what it means to be a Wayland Union Wildcat alumni.
