Meet the Principal!
Karri Bailey has been part of the Wayland Wildcats since 2008. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, Science, and Social Studies from Ferris State University. She later went on to obtain her Master's in Education, Instruction, and Curriculum from Grand Valley State University, as well as receiving her Elementary and Secondary Administrative Certification through Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals. Throughout her professional years, Karri Bailey has taught for 13 years, was an Assistant Principal for 3 years, and is entering her first year as Principal. In her free time, her family, which consists of her husband of 23 years, Mike, and her 3 children, enjoy being outside, visiting family across the state, and playing with their dogs. “I am so excited for the upcoming year because it is going to be filled with new opportunities to impact our young students in building their love for learning, supporting and empowering staff to collaborate and cultivate the best educational experiences for all, and continued strengthening of the partnerships between families and school. This is going to be the best year yet!”
