Meet the Principal!

Amanda Nast is new to our Wildcat team! Mrs. Nast has earned her Associate degree with an emphasis on Early Childhood from GRCC, her Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Language Arts from Siena Heights University, and her Master's in Educational Leadership and Administration from Walden University. While attending Siena Heights University, she was a member of the volleyball team and had the opportunity to coach at numerous levels, ranging from U12 to U17. Previously, Amanda Nast worked as a 1st grade teacher and a Virtual Academy Coordinator/Mentor for Otsego Public Schools. Mrs. Nast is grateful to her supportive husband, Tyler, and her 20-month-old daughter, Nora. “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Baker Elementary and Wayland Union family for the 2024-2025 school year! I am looking forward to not only collaborating with a team of phenomenal educators, but also leading our littlest learners. The age range of students here at Baker Elementary makes my heart burst with excitement. I cannot wait to get to know more about our community, staff, and students!”
