Meet the Principal!
Robyn Robinson graduated from Wayland HS before continuing on to receive her Bachelor's from Central Michigan University, and both her Master's in Educational Leadership and Master's in School Counseling from Grand Valley State University. Throughout her career, Mrs. Robinson has taught Special Education, held administrative roles such as Assistant Principal, CCA, and MS AD, and has been a Principal for the last 5 years. Mrs. Robinson’s husband is a teacher at the high school, her son recently graduated from Wayland, and her daughter is entering her junior year. “I am eager and excited for the upcoming school year, which I know will be full of new opportunities, growth, and success for our students. I have no doubt that this will be a year marked by extraordinary achievements and memorable experiences.”
Meet the Assistant Principal!
Mike Omness has been a staff member of Wayland Union Schools since 1997. Mr. Omness is proud to share that his entire family are Alumni of WUS. He received his Bachelor's of Science and his Master's in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. His educational work experience consists of 17 years of teaching and 10 years in school administration. Mike Omness states, “I am very much looking forward to welcoming our new class of 4th graders at Pine St. and continuing to work and grow with our 5th grade class.”
