Outstanding People for Education

Outstanding People in Education is an award the Allegan County School Board Association established 15 years ago. The award recognizes individual who are excelling in their field and/or making an impact in the quality of education in Allegan County. This year we had 47 nominees who were recognized at the board meeting on April 8, 2024. The 3 individuals who were selected to represent the district for the award this year were also announced: Deann Huffman, General Aide at Baker Elementary; Beth Nykerk, 2nd Grade Teacher at Steeby Elementary; and Morgan Lee Pfister, 6th Grade Math Teacher at the Middle School.
