Operation C.A.T.S.

Wayland Union Middle School is partnering with the Wayland Police Department in Operation C.A.T.S. which is a positive character recognition program. C.A.T.S. stands for Courageous, Admirable, Trustworthy and Successful.
Each month, two students from each grade who exemplify these characteristics will be chosen by their teachers. These winners can be nominated for their athletic prowess or even their classroom grades, it is all based on being a good person which is something that lasts for a lifetime!
Other examples of positive character traits are: being thoughtful and kind, respectful, hard working, great listener, consistent contributor, a good neighbor to peers, works well with others, someone who is helpful to others, always tries their best, isn't swayed by choices of friends or volunteers often and is friendly with everyone!
The award winners enjoyed a free pizza lunch with a Wayland Police Officer and were given an award presented to them from by the Wayland Police Department. The pizza is being donated by Hungry Howie’s, Papa Mineo’s Pizzeria, Little Caesars Pizza and Salvino’s Ristorante.
