Jijak Cultural Presentation
On Tuesday, October 14th, our 3rd grade students had the incredible opportunity to visit Jijak for a cultural presentation by the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians. The experience helped students deepen their appreciation for the rich traditions, beliefs, and history of the Gun Lake Tribe.
Throughout the day, students learned about traditional foods, sports, and customs, and even had the chance to witness a mini-powwow!
We’re so grateful to the Gun Lake Tribe for welcoming our students and sharing such an engaging and educational experience that celebrates Native American Heritage.
