Odyssey of the Mind

WUS hosted the regional competition for Odyssey of the Mind on Saturday, February 8th. WUS had five teams participating. One team was primary and is not eligible to advance to the State Tournament. Of our four teams that were eligible to advance to the State Tournament, two teams scored high enough to advance to the State Competition in March.

• Wayland Union Middle School team coached by Shelby VerHulst performed Problem 3: Cooking with Books placed 2nd in their division, advancing to States.
• Wayland Union High School team coached by Rachel McGrady-Hawley performed Problem 5: AstronOMical Odyssey! and placed 2nd in their division, advancing to States.
• Pine Street team coached by Jaclyn Smith performed Problem 5: AstronOMical Odyssey! and placed 4th in their division.
• Pine Street team coached by Tina Burns and Jessica Barnum performed Problem 3: Cooking with Books placed 3rd in their division.
• Dorr/Steeby team coached by Megan Saczynski performed Primary: It's a WONDERful World! Primary teams are not eligible to advance to States.
