End of Year Staff Celebration
On Friday, May 31st, Wayland Union Staff got together for the Annual End of Year Staff Celebration. During the celebration, recognized accomplishments were retirees, years of service, the Brenner Award and the "Spirit Sparkler" Award.
The Brenner Award was established in 2003 by former WUS Superintendent, Bob Brenner and his wife, Sandy, in honor of their daughter, Kathy, and recognizes an outstanding teacher who has committed the extra time and effort to benefit students in the classroom and/or in extracurricular activities with Wayland Union Schools. The Katheryn Lorraine Brenner Outstanding Teacher Award for the 2023-2024 school year was presented to Katie Boyce, a 4th Grade Teacher from Pine Street Elementary.
Afterward, staff members were able to enjoy a sweet treat from the Kona Ice Truck. Join us in giving a big THANK YOU to all our staff members, especially to our amazing retirees!
