Meet Wayland Union Middle School's New Assistant Principal!

Please join us in congratulating Caleb Campbell on his new role as Assistant Principal at Wayland Union Middle School!

Mr. Campbell earned his bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University before completing his master's degree at Grand Canyon University. He brings 18 years of educational experience to his new role, including the past 14 years serving Wayland Union Schools. Throughout his Wayland career, he has taught fourth grade at both Dorr and Pine Street Elementary Schools, eighth grade math at Wayland Union Middle School, and most recently served as the Middle School Dean of Students during the final three months of the 2025-2026 school year.

Outside of school, Caleb enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel, a first-grade teacher in Caledonia, and their three sons, Gavin, Beckett, and Hudson. The Campbell family loves spending time together in Holland, where they enjoy fishing, boating, and swimming. Caleb is also entering his 10th season as Wayland Union Schools' Boys Varsity Soccer Coach. Soccer is truly a family passion, with all three of his sons participating in year-round programs.

"I'm excited to continue to learn and grow with Ms. Cimek and the administration team," said Mr. Campbell. "I'm ready to use my knowledge and experience to help create and foster a strong school community. Our middle school staff is an amazing group, and I look forward to supporting them in this role."
